Terms of Use
EzyReader · Last updated: May 2026
By downloading or using EzyReader, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The Service
EzyReader is a reading application that allows you to read EPUB, PDF, and DOCX files, take highlights and notes, and access AI-powered reading assistance features ("Aura"). The app is provided by MdaStudio (independent developer).
2. Account
You must create an account with a valid email address to use the app. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Subscriptions
- Some features require an active EzyReader Premium subscription.
- Subscriptions are billed through Google Play (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS) according to your chosen plan (monthly or annual).
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Google Play or App Store account settings.
- Refunds are handled according to Google Play or Apple App Store policies.
4. Free Tier and Advertising
- Free quota. Free-tier users receive a daily allowance of two AI requests per Aura feature (chapter analysis, full-book analysis, chat). The quota resets every 24 hours.
- Rewarded video ads. When the daily quota is exhausted, free users may optionally watch a rewarded video advertisement to unlock one additional AI request. Watching ads is always optional; you may instead wait for the quota to reset or upgrade to Premium.
- Banner ads. Free users may see a small banner advertisement at the bottom of selected non-reading screens (Library, Notes, Settings). Banners are never shown during reading or inside the AI panel.
- Storage limit. Free-tier users may store up to 10 books in their personal library. Additional uploads require an active Premium subscription.
- Ads removal. Active Premium subscribers do not see any advertisements (banners or rewarded videos) and have no AI request limits.
- Ad provider. Advertisements are delivered by Google AdMob. See our Privacy Policy for details about data shared with AdMob and how to manage advertising preferences.
5. User Content and Copyright
- Ownership. Books, documents, and files you upload remain your property. We do not claim ownership of your content.
- User warranty. By uploading any file to EzyReader, you represent and warrant that you own the copyright to the file, or that you have the explicit permission of the rights holder, or that the file is in the public domain or covered by a license that authorises your use. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your uploads comply with applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
- Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold MdaStudio harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from content you upload that infringes the rights of any third party.
- Privacy of personal libraries. Files you upload are stored in private storage accessible only to your account. We do not browse, share, or distribute user-uploaded content to other users.
- Public catalog. The free catalog available in-app is composed exclusively of works in the public domain or under open licenses (Creative Commons, Project Gutenberg, Standard Ebooks, etc.). Source attribution is preserved per the requirements of each license.
- App IP. EzyReader's interface, branding, and code are the property of MdaStudio. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them.
6. Copyright Infringement Notices (DMCA / EU DSA)
MdaStudio is registered with the United States Copyright Office as a Designated DMCA Agent — Registration No. DMCA-1073312.

- The user who uploaded the content will be notified and has the right to submit a counter-notice under DMCA §512(g).
7. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with DMCA §512(i), accounts that accumulate three or more validated copyright infringement notices will be automatically and permanently disabled. Disabled users will be notified by email and may appeal the decision by contacting abuse@mdastudio.dev with supporting evidence within 14 days.
8. AI Features (Aura)
- Aura features are powered by Anthropic's Claude AI. Outputs are generated automatically and may not always be accurate.
- AI-generated content (summaries, explanations, glossary, quizzes, chat responses) is provided for reading assistance only. Always refer to the original text for accuracy.
- Do not use Aura to process content that is confidential, sensitive, or that you do not have the right to share with a third-party AI service.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose, including the upload of pirated or unauthorised copyrighted material
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
- Abuse the AI support chat (EzyHelper) with off-topic or harmful requests

10. Disclaimers
EzyReader is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that AI-generated content is accurate or complete. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MdaStudio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any damages arising from user-uploaded content or third-party advertisements.
